Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which aims to contribute to social, cultural and personal development in Samsun, the city of youth and dynamism, aims to offer an unforgettable experience to young people during the summer season. In line with this purpose, applications for the camp and tour programs organized within the scope of the “Petek Genç” project implemented by the Metropolitan Municipality have started.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality continues to contribute to the social, cultural and personal development of young people in Samsun, the city of youth. In this context, applications for the summer youth activity programs organized within the scope of the “Petek Genç” project, which aims to ensure that young people spend their summer vacations productively and meaningfully, have started. The programs, which will be held between June 23 and September 14, 2025, aim to ensure that young people spend time in touch with nature, strengthen their sense of belonging to their city, and develop their personal and social skills.
Young people will have fun and learn
The Petek Youth Project was planned to be attended by young people between the ages of 11-25 with individual applications. With the project, young people will gain awareness of knowing, protecting and discovering nature; strengthen their social relationships and make new friends. Young people will also have the opportunity to see the historical and cultural richness of Samsun on site and develop vital skills such as teamwork, leadership and effective communication.
A summer full of travel and camping programs
As part of the program, young people will have the opportunity to visit important historical, cultural and natural values of Samsun such as Tekkeköy Caves, Çarşamba Çivisiz Mosque, Yeşilırmak Wildlife Park and Samsunum-2 Ship, with city tours to be organized three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The camp programs will be held in two different formats. The tent camp programs to be held on Saturday and Sunday will provide young people with unforgettable moments where they can be alone with nature and strengthen their friendships. In the daily camp programs to be held on Tuesday and Thursday, activities such as nature walks, archery, orienteering and various fun team games will await young people. All camp programs will take place at the Mahmur Mountain Camp Area.
The application process has started
Young people who want to participate in Petek Genç summer youth activities can apply via the address “petekgenc.samsun.bel.tr” or via ALO 153 Solution Center. In the summer activities consisting of trips, tented camps and daily camp programs; people between the ages of 11-25 can apply for camp programs and 16-25 for trips.
