In Kültür Park, one of the most preferred spots in the city; in addition to basketball, tennis, volleyball and skateboard courts located along the coast, clean water service is provided with fountains located at certain points. Şeniz İşcan Ateş, Project Manager of the Parks and Gardens Department Project Branch Directorate, said that the Culture Park is in a 7,2-kilometer area covering Yenişehir and Mezitli. “It is a park that is used intensively by the people living in Mersin and our guests from all over Türkiye and even the world because it offers the opportunity to look at the blue waters of the Mediterranean under the shade of palm trees.” Ateş said that the park is used very actively from early morning until midnight. “In addition to the natural beauties of the coast, there are many activity areas made by the Metropolitan Municipality. We have a bicycle path, a running and walking path made of semolina, basketball, tennis, skateboard areas in various locations, and children's playgrounds. Apart from these, we have 14 public toilets and fountains that our citizens can use free of charge.” she said.

Ateş noted that there is also the Özgecan Aslan Peace Square within the Kültür Park, which is used by citizens for various celebrations and concerts. “There are also Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Mersin İdman Yurdu Squares within the park.
