
According to the statement made by the Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, 3 suspects were caught in the operations centered in 9 provinces in the last 190 days within the scope of the Fight Against Cyber Crimes for the crimes of "Aggravated Fraud, Illegal Betting, Online Child Obscenity and Harassment".
Criminal Activities and Prevalence
The suspects were found to be involved in various cybercrime activities:
- Aggravated Fraud: It was determined that they defrauded citizens through social media platforms under the names of “product price, file fee, tax fee, car rental/down payment, rental bungalow and product sales”.
- Illegal Betting: It was determined that they were placing bets on illegal betting sites and acting as live support.

Money Transfer Intermediation: It was determined that they were facilitating the transfer of money related to illegal betting.
Scope of the Operation and Legal Process
The operations, which were carried out by the Cyber Crime Combating Branch Directorates of the Provincial Police Departments under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Cyber Crime Combating Department of the General Directorate of Security, were carried out in a total of 9 provinces, 31 of which were centered in the province. These provinces include Erzurum, Konya, Eskişehir, Sakarya, Gaziantep, Ankara, Mersin, Burdur and Kocaeli, as well as Karabük, İstanbul, İzmir, Ordu, Batman, Adana, Mardin, Kahramanmaraş, Diyarbakır, Şırnak, Bitlis, Osmaniye, Samsun, Şanlıurfa, Antalya, Hatay, Kilis, Aydın, Bingöl, Kayseri, Kırıkkale and Adıyaman.

The Captures and Minister Yerlikaya's Message
As a result of operations unlicensed pistols lots of digital materials seized. In addition, approximately 15 cars worth 10 Million TL was confiscated.
Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya congratulated the Governors, Chief Public Prosecutors, Provincial Police Chiefs, police officers and MASAK employees who contributed to the operations. Minister Yerlikaya gave the message that the fight against cybercrime will continue unabated by saying, “As in Kara Vatan, we continue our fight against crime and criminals with our virtual patrols in Cyber Vatan!”
