Developed by Machinery and Chemical Industry Inc. (MKE), the PİRANA Kamikaze Unmanned Marine Vehicle (KİDA) has successfully completed target impact tests after surface navigation tests and is ready to enter service with the Naval Forces. PİRANA KİDA, which destroys a very small 3,5-meter target by performing a precise hit, was designed to provide high impact at low cost, considering asymmetric warfare conditions.
Mission Profile and Highlights
MKE PİRANA KİDA is a marine vehicle equipped with a high-tech warhead and fuse development capability, which can be controlled by an operator and can operate semi-autonomously.
Mission Profile: PIRANHA, Suitable for the HERD usage concept It was developed to become. After detecting enemy elements at sea, it was programmed to aim at the target in remote-controlled or autonomous mode and explode on impact. Thanks to this feature, it offers effective attack capability by infiltrating enemy ships, ports and base areas.
Highlights:
- High Speed and Maneuverability: With diesel engine with water jet propulsion system 50+ knots cruising speedThanks to its ability to reach the target, it has the advantage in sudden interventions.
- Enhanced Autonomy: It offers full flexibility with both remote operator control and autonomous mission modes.
- Advanced Warhead and Fuze Technology: Total 65 kg front piercing warhead (50 kg warhead + 15 kg pre-penetrator) and precision fuse system, it provides a precise and effective hit to the target.
- Targeting and Navigation: It is equipped with CRPA-supported GNSS navigation systems resistant to jamming, advanced electro-optical cameras and a mission computer.
- Penetration and Strike Ability: It can overcome enemy defenses thanks to its radar-reducing composite body structure and silent cruise mode.
