
Carried out by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Social Services Department 'Minibus Project'; continues to contribute to the development of children in cultural, artistic and sports areas. Within the scope of the project, which has been successfully carried out for 3 years, trips are organized to 20 different locations every weekday for 6th grade students from 5 schools in line with the protocol made with the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
In this context, students of Osman Gazi Middle School in Toroslar district spent a day in touch with nature with a trip organized to Tarsus Nature Park. Students who had the opportunity to see some animals for the first time in their lives both learned while having fun and collected beautiful memories. As of May, reaching 5 students 'Minibus Project', supports the social and cultural development of students with different content every week. The project is planned to continue in the 2025-2026 academic year.

From the introduction of sports branches at Macit Özcan Sports Facilities to movie screenings at the shopping mall, from the Archaeology Museum tour to the introduction of Silifke archaeological sites and awareness-raising activities at the Halkkent Social Life Center, many activities are held in this area. Our aim is to provide the student we accept into the program at the beginning of the term with experience in branches such as culture, art, and sports by the end of the term and to support their development. Students enjoyed learning while having fun
One of the students, Büşra Öztemel, stated that she was very happy to have the opportunity to see her favorite animals in Tarsus Nature Park, “I have been a fan of flamingos since I was little. I had the chance to get to know them better here. Especially thanks to the introductory information in front of them, I learned better what they eat and where they live. I recommend everyone to come here. For example, I saw a hyena for the first time and I was able to see and research animals that are close to extinction up close.” she said.
Irmak Güleç, 12, a student at Osman Gazi Secondary School, "This is the first time I've seen a skunk, a wolf and a fox live and up close. There were beautiful animals. The fish were very cute. There are all kinds of birds. We had a great time. We also had time to get to know them." dedicate.

Sıddık Taha Uğuş said that he had the opportunity to meet animals he had never known before in Tarsus Nature Park, “I had a great day. There were many different kinds of birds here. I saw cockatiels. I saw other animals living in the forest. I didn’t know that crocodiles were so big. I want everyone to come and see this place.” she said.
