Final preparations are being made for the Accessible Beach of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, which brings disabled individuals together with the sea, to host its guests in the best way possible this summer season.
The “Accessible Beaches”, which were implemented by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality on the Konyaaltı and Lara coasts so that disabled citizens can enter the sea comfortably and safely, will bring thousands of visitors together with the cool waters of the Mediterranean this summer. Final arrangements are being made at the beach on the Konyaaltı coast, considering the comfort of disabled citizens.
THE SCAFFOLD AND ELEVATOR SYSTEM IS BEING RENEWED
The Metropolitan Municipality Accessible Beach on the Konyaaltı Beach, where disabled citizens living in Antalya or coming from out of town for vacation can easily enter the sea and which served 44 thousand people last year, is being reorganized, maintained and repaired, and made available to disabled citizens. The Metropolitan Municipality Department of Technical Services teams are renewing the pier and equipment. The beach's pier is being renewed with a more durable and high-quality material instead of wood so that it is not affected by waves and storms. The lifeguard tower of the beach is also being mounted on the pier. In addition, the horizontal elevator system that will provide disabled individuals with access to the sea is also being renewed this year.
CONVENIENT AND COMFORTABLE TRANSPORTATION TO THE SEA
Showers, changing cabins, sunshades and sun loungers are arranged according to standards suitable for the use of disabled individuals. The beach, which is accessible to disabled individuals of all ages, is planned to be completed in a short time and opened for service in the summer season.
