The Izmir Chamber Orchestra, which started operating under the roof of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, offers a musical feast by turning into a symphony orchestra with guest artists. The orchestra, which gave its first concert on May 30, will meet Izmir art lovers with a magnificent season opening on September 20.
The chamber orchestra of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organized its first concert under the name of Izmir Chamber Orchestra on May 30 at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center (AASSM). In the concert where guest artists also took part, the chamber orchestra transformed into a symphony orchestra and presented a magnificent evening to art lovers with compositions by Beethoven and Vivaldi. The orchestra will also make a beautiful start to the season on September 20. Deniz Toygür, the chief violinist of the Izmir Chamber Orchestra, said, “With its 10 years of experience, our chamber orchestra became Izmir’s and started operating under the roof of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. The Izmir Chamber Orchestra has 14 permanent artists and they play string instruments. However, with our guest artists from Turkey and abroad, we are growing much more and transforming into a symphony orchestra. We will be with you with a magnificent season opening on September 20.”
