Nine Palestinian civilians were killed in an Israeli artillery strike targeting people waiting for food aid in the Al-Oaha area northwest of Gaza City late Sunday, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.
It was not possible to independently verify the report because Israel does not allow foreign journalists into the occupied territories.
Medical officials in Gaza say an estimated 12 Palestinians have been killed and thousands more wounded in the past 450 days in Israeli attacks on people waiting to collect aid at food distribution points recently opened by the US-Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation.
