Iran: US Committed Serious Violations of International Law

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi stated that the attack by the United States of America (USA) on Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities is a grave violation of the United Nations (UN) Charter, international law and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

Minister Araghchi stated that the United States, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, violated these fundamental international documents by attacking Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities. Stating that the events of the morning had caused great anger and horror, Araghchi said, “It will have permanent consequences. “Every member state of the United Nations must be on the alert for this extremely dangerous, unlawful and criminal behaviour,” he said.

Araghchi said that in accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions allowing for self-defense, Iran was defending its sovereignty, interests and people. reserves all options told.

Missile Attacks on Israel and Their Consequences
