Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues to strengthen the city's transportation infrastructure with new roads and maintenance work on existing roads.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said that they have implemented important works to make transportation more comfortable and safe at every point of Konya.

Noting that they have completed the road construction work they have carried out on the Ardıçlı Neighborhood Road passing through the Selçuk University Campus, President Altay said, “With the work we have done, the road has been brought into compliance with the zoning plans and has become an alternative route that will reduce the traffic load within the university campus. Now, transportation to our Ardıçlı Neighborhood will be provided by an uninterrupted and modern road from outside the campus. I hope that the road work, which cost 5 million liras, will be beneficial.”

The Ardıçlı Neighborhood road route, which was transformed into a modern and planned road network by making it independent from the campus, was opened to traffic by being covered with hot asphalt after excavation, filling, sub-base and plant mix foundation works.
