
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which did not turn down Akın Türk's request to fly a kite for his deceased father, organized an event in Gazi Park with the call of "Kites to the Sky for Akın's Wish".
Having lost his father at a young age, Akın Türk had requested from the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality a kite flying event for his father. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality teams, who did not turn down Akın Türk's request, organized a kite flying event in Gazi Park with the call "Kites to the Sky for Akın's Wish".
In the event attended by thousands of people who heeded this call, kites and balloons were released into the sky for Akın Türk's father.
Akın Türk's mother Gülşah Taner said about the event, "I am very happy. We had a bittersweet Father's Day for five years. Today we are celebrating by announcing it to everyone. My two children are very happy, I am very happy because they are happy. We thank everyone for their participation. You made us experience an unforgettable day."
Social Services Department Head Ahmet Güven said, “First of all, on behalf of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and myself, I would like to wish all fathers a happy Father’s Day. We have gathered here today to make Akın Türk’s wishes come true. I hope everyone’s wishes reach the sky,” while Women and Family Services Department Head Burcu Kurt Çiçek said, “I wish all fathers a happy Father’s Day.
