The Kite Festival, traditionally organized by the Menderes Municipality every year, was the scene of colorful scenes for the 14th time this year at Özdere Youth Park. In the event that carried the joy of spring to the sky, approximately 5 thousand kites were distributed to participants free of charge and the festival, which lasted throughout the day, brought citizens of all ages together.
Children and Families Enjoyed the Fun
Children and their families who attended the festival had a great day with fun activities and live music performances. Balloon shaping workshops, face painting activities and inflatable playgrounds specially prepared for children attracted great attention. In addition, the happiness of the little ones increased with cotton candy and popcorn treats. The live performance of Grup Eskici Band added color to the musical atmosphere of the festival.
Mayor Cicek Flies Kites with Citizens
Menderes Mayor İlkay Çiçek also attended the event with his wife Melek Çiçek and flew kites with the citizens. Mayor Çiçek, who closely attended and chatted with the children, shared the excitement of the festival. Evaluating the intense participation, Mayor Çiçek said, “The intense participation in our kite festival made us happy. Our enthusiasm continues to increase every year. We made a wonderful organization with our citizens enjoying the spring on our beach. Especially the happiness of our children is our biggest gain. I would like to thank our citizens who participated not only from Menderes but also from every part of our country. With this unity and solidarity, we will achieve better things in Menderes.” These words of Mayor Çiçek reflected the unity and solidarity spirit of the event.
