La Quimera Released to Players in Early Access

Developer Reburn has made a surprise decision to release its science fiction shooter La Quimera as an early access game, despite its previously delayed release date. The game, developed by the restructured team once known as 4A Games Ukraine, was made available on the Steam platform after a sudden announcement on April 29. The game's complicated release process has gained a new dimension with this unexpected early access decision.

Surprise Decision: La Quimera Suddenly in Early Access

La Quimera was an ambitious project that was initially planned to be released as a full version. However, due to various technical problems encountered during the development process, the game's scheduled launch date had to be postponed. Following this postponement, the developer studio Reburn fell silent for a long time and did not share any updates about the game's future. While this atmosphere of uncertainty continued, a sudden announcement was made on April 29 that the game was moving to an early access model. This unexpected decision caused great surprise in the gaming community, as players did not expect the game to be released suddenly without any new release date.

The game's developer team, Reburn, officially announced on the Steam platform that the technical issues encountered during the game's development process took much longer than expected to be resolved and that they were late in communicating with players during this process. However, the team stated that they focused on development work relentlessly during this difficult process and tried to make the game more stable and playable before releasing it to early access. Despite this, the decision to release the game so suddenly caused various question marks to arise in the minds of players.

Statements and Future Promise from Reburn CEO

Reburn CEO Dmytro Lymar released a press release regarding the game’s early access release. Lymar stated that as a game studio based in Ukraine, they are used to working in very challenging conditions and want to manage this complex process in the best way possible. He also shared with players that La Quimera will receive regular updates throughout the early access period in order to reach the quality standards achieved in the studio’s previous successful projects. While this statement sheds some hope for the game’s future potential, it falls short of fully addressing the disappointment created by the current situation.

First Impressions Were Disappointing

Unfortunately, the first player impressions of La Quimera's early access version are not very encouraging. There are widespread criticisms that the game's visual quality falls far short of today's standards, that the character models are inadequate, and that the storytelling does not draw players in enough. It is clearly stated that La Quimera, which players have been waiting for a long time and have high expectations for, is far from meeting these expectations in its current form. It is curious how the development team will manage this early access process, how much they will take player feedback into account, and whether they can deliver the game to its promised potential. The early access process can either turn into a rebirth story for La Quimera or a disappointment that falls short of expectations.
