The sixth traditional Mind and Intelligence Games organized in cooperation with Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of National Education took place with the intense participation of primary and secondary school students from 31 districts. The provincial final held at the Karatay Youth Center witnessed a fierce competition of young minds.

Konya Provincial Director of National Education Murat Yiğit, who attended the provincial final of the competition, emphasized that Mind and Intelligence Games allow children to learn while having fun. Yiğit said, “This competition means a lot to our children in terms of knowing themselves better and taking more planned steps towards the future. I congratulate our provincial winners and all participants.”
“Everyone Who Participates Here Is A Champion In Our Hearts”
Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca also congratulated all the students who worked hard in the competition and thanked the teachers and parents. Stating that there was no loser in the competition, Kılca said, “Everyone who participated here is a champion in our hearts. Last year, Konya became the first in Turkey, and I believe that Konya will make a splash in Türkiye again in the program to be held in Kars this year. I would like to thank all the teachers, parents and valuable students who contributed to the organization of the competition. I would like to thank our Metropolitan Municipality, Provincial Directorate of National Education and district directors of national education for their support.”
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Ercan Uslu also presented the awards to the students who were successful. The students who participated in the competition stated that they had fun and learned new information, and expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the organization.
Provincial Champions Will Represent Konya in the Turkish Championship
In the 6th Mind and Intelligence Games Competition, where great competition took place, a total of 10 students who won first place in 299 different categories in the district tournaments and their teachers who guided them competed. The students sweated in the Abluka, Pentago, Küre, Equilibrio and Motif categories at the primary school level and in the Mangala, Pentago, Abluka, Kulami and Küre categories at the secondary school level.
As a result of the tough competition, the students who achieved the first three degrees in each category were presented with medals, plaques to their schools and various gifts. In addition, the successful students who achieved first place in their categories earned the right to represent Konya in the Turkish Championship to be held in Kars on May 23-24-25 in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and the Federation of All Mind and Intelligence Games (TAZOF).
Konya's Tradition of Success in Mind Games
Students from Konya, who have achieved significant success in the field of mind and intelligence games with the support of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, are frequently mentioned in the national tournaments they participate in. Konya, who won 2023 first places in individual categories and second place in Turkey as a team in the tournament held in Kayseri in 2, proved its claim in this field by winning 2024 first places in individual categories and becoming the Turkish champion as a team in the tournament held in Rize in 3. This tradition of success is expected to continue in the championship in Kars.
