
According to the announcement of the Ministry of National Defense (MSB), the 5th International Best Sniper Team competition was successfully completed at the Mountain, Commando School and Training Center Command in Isparta.
Elite Marksmen from 18 Countries Participated
Sniper teams from 14 different countries, including Azerbaijan, Albania, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Georgia, Italy, Qatar, Kosovo, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Libya, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, participated in this prestigious competition hosted by Turkey. In addition, observers from the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Kuwait and Turkmenistan closely followed the competitions.
8 National Teams from Türkiye Fought
In the challenging competition in which a total of 18 sniper teams from 26 countries took part, Türkiye was represented by a total of 2 national sniper teams, including 2 teams from the Land Forces Command, 2 from the Naval Forces Command, 2 from the Special Forces Command and 8 from the Gendarmerie General Command.
Turkish Teams Achieved Success
In the competition that required high skill and precision, Turkish sniper teams displayed a superior performance and achieved significant success. A team from the Land Forces Command came in first, while another team from the Land Forces Command came in second. The General Staff Special Forces Command team made us proud by coming in third.
Gold Medals Found Their Owners
A medal ceremony was held according to the points obtained by the sniper teams of the participating countries. Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Uzbekistan and Italy achieved great success by winning gold medals. Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Bahrain won silver medals, while Azerbaijan, Qatar and Albania were awarded bronze medals.
This international competition allowed sniper teams from different countries to share knowledge and experience, while also strengthening bonds of friendship and cooperation. Türkiye's hosting and the success of the national teams once again demonstrated our country's competence in this field.
