Portakallı Junction Renewed to European Standards

With the works carried out at the Portakallı Junction in the Akdeniz district, the deformed sections of the road were renewed and the junction was brought into compliance with European standards. The median arrangement between Sakarya Street and İnönü Boulevard was meticulously made using the Power Curber construction equipment. Tarsus Üzümlü Junction Renovated in 72 Hours

The Üzümlü Junction, a critical point at the western entrance of Tarsus, gained a brand new appearance in just 72 hours thanks to the intensive work of the Metropolitan teams. While the damaged asphalt and pavements were completely replaced, the roundabout was removed and the visibility of drivers was expanded. The median in the area, where 2 thousand tons of hot asphalt was laid and 1700 square meters of pavement was manufactured, was also brought into compliance with European standards with the Power Curber machine.

Driving Comfort Increased at 201st Street Intersection

Traffic flow has also been significantly eased with the work carried out at the intersection of the 2nd Ring Road and 201st Street (Yumuktepe Junction) in the Toroslar district. While the central hub was completely removed, shelter pockets were created for turns in the north-south direction. The junction, which was renewed with hot asphalt paving and road marking works, reduced traffic density on the east-west axis and offered citizens a more comfortable transportation opportunity.

Metropolitan Municipality Road Construction Maintenance and Repair Department Road Asphalt Chief Mehmet Onur Güner, in his statement regarding the completed works, stated that in addition to maintenance, repair and landscaping arrangements, they created shelter pockets by narrowing the east-west median strips. Güner said, “We observed that traffic was relieved despite the increase in the number of vehicles during peak hours. May it bring good luck to our people.
