At the meeting held in Trabzon City Council, Trabzon Rail System Project A comprehensive briefing was made on the subject and the details of the project were discussed. Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Advisor Mustafa Yaylalı and Head of Transportation Department Fatih Bayraktar, made a presentation to the City Council Executive Board regarding the Rail System Line Project planned along the Akçaabat-Ortahisar-Yomra district route and approved by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Prof. Dr. Karal emphasized that as the City Council, they are ready to do everything they can to bring this investment to the city as soon as possible. He expressed his expectations with the words, “We thank everyone who contributed. Our wish is for the first phase of the project to be completed in a short time and then for the other phases to be carried out.”
This project will provide a modern and permanent solution to Trabzon's transportation problem, while also making significant contributions to the city's development. With the implementation of the rail system, it is expected that urban traffic congestion will decrease and public transportation will become more efficient.
