Tokat Mayor Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu continues to work on improving the transportation infrastructure in the city without slowing down. Mayor Yazıcıoğlu recently examined the ongoing revision work at the Tokat Bus Terminal.
Tokat Bus Terminal is Being Modernized
While evaluating the works at the terminal, Mayor Yazıcıoğlu said in his post, “Our revision works at Tokat Bus Terminal continue at full speed. We are completing our arrangement and landscaping works in common areas, platforms and pedestrian paths. May it bring good luck to our Tokat.”
The revision project aims to maximize passenger comfort at the terminal. To this end, pedestrian paths within the terminal are being renewed, more useful and aesthetic seating areas are being created, and landscaping arrangements are being made to enhance the general appearance of the terminal. In addition, arrangements made at the bus platforms aim to make transportation more functional, orderly, and safe. It is expected that the modernization work will be completed in a short time and the renewed bus station will be put into service for the people of Tokat.
Good News of Elevator for the Overpass in Front of the State Hospital
Another important initiative of Mayor Yazıcıoğlu was regarding the pedestrian overpass in front of Tokat State Hospital, which has been on the agenda for years due to its impracticality. This overpass, which poses a great difficulty especially for the elderly, sick and disabled citizens due to its length of approximately 100 meters, is being put back into service by being equipped with an elevator with the efforts of Tokat Municipality.
Mayor Yazıcıoğlu did not remain indifferent to the intense complaints of patients and their relatives and implemented this important project. Thanks to the new elevator system, the ease of use of the overpass will be increased and access to the hospital will become much more accessible. With the completion of the project, Tokat will have the first pedestrian overpass with an elevator in the city. This work is considered an important step that will provide great convenience, especially for citizens who have difficulty accessing health services.
