Ordu Metropolitan Municipality continues its pond construction works with the aim of increasing the city's water storage capacity, developing agricultural irrigation opportunities, providing drinking water to the local people and increasing tourism potential. Within the scope of these works carried out under the leadership of Mayor Güler, a new pond to be built in Ericek Yaylası in Kumru district is being added to the existing number of 63 ponds. Thus, the number of ponds in Ordu will reach 64.

Ericek Plateau Reservoir Will Hold 18 Thousand Cubic Meters of Water

In the last 6 years, many pond projects have been implemented by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration General Directorate (OSKİ) in district centers for drinking water, animal husbandry, agriculture and tourism. OSKİ, which has successfully completed and put into service 63 ponds, has now rolled up its sleeves for the 64th pond. This new pond, the construction of which started in Ericek Yaylası, one of the favorite plateaus of Kumru district, was planned especially for tourism purposes and 18 thousand cubic meters The pond will have a water holding capacity of approximately 7 thousand square meters will be built on an area.

The pond will be 68 meters long and 5 meters deep

The Ericek Plateau pond works, which are also planned to be used for animal husbandry activities in rural neighborhoods, especially during the summer months, are being carried out meticulously by OSKİ's experienced teams.
