The 4th International Konya Half Marathon Excitement Begins

The 4th International Konya Half Marathon, eagerly awaited by sports fans, will bring together many local and foreign sports enthusiasts in Konya this year as well.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that the marathon, which will be held for the fourth time, has the potential to be one of Türkiye's important sports organizations. Noting that the marathon attracts increasing interest from home and abroad every year, Mayor Altay said, “We are organizing this meaningful organization to encourage healthy living, popularize sports culture and introduce the historical and cultural riches of Konya. The registration process for this great event, which brings together all participants with the slogan 'Be at the center of the action', continues. I invite all our fellow citizens and all sports fans to be a part of this great excitement that we will hold on May 18.”

Racing Excitement in Three Different Categories

The 4th International Konya Half Marathon, which will be run among the historical and cultural beauties of Konya, will offer athletes the opportunity to compete at different levels. It will be organized in 21 different categories: marathon, 10-kilometer half marathon, 3-kilometer run and the Public Run, which is open to everyone.

Social Dimension of the Marathon

This year's marathon also has an important social responsibility aspect. All proceeds will be donated to the Selçuklu Autistic Individuals Foundation (SOBE), which provides support to individuals with autism, the Meram Down Syndrome Individuals Life Support Center (DOSD), which is a life support center for individuals with Down syndrome, and the Karatay Alzheimer's Day Life Center, which provides services to Alzheimer's patients.
