Trakya University hosted an important seminar on the development of rail transportation technologies. The seminar was held at the Mimar Sinan Conference Hall of the Faculty of Engineering. “Rail Systems from Past to Present” In the event titled, the historical process and technological transformations of rail systems were discussed in detail.
Knowledge Transfer from Industry Experts
The seminar was given by two experienced people in the field: TCDD Capacity Department Head Şeyhmus Oktar ve Rail System Expert Levent DurusoyDean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Güleç, academicians and many students attended the event.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering made the opening speech of the seminar Prof. Dr. Haci Ali Gulec and Head of Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Tamer Ozben, stated that the event will provide students with a vision and expressed their pleasure in hosting Şeyhmus Oktar and Levent Durusoy at Trakya University.
Historical Development of Railways and Technical Structures
After the opening speeches, Şeyhmus Oktar gave his presentation historical development of railways ve railway management Oktar detailed the evolution of railways around the world and current operational approaches. Levent Durusoy, in his presentation, Technical structures of rail systems Durusoy explained the engineering principles of modern rail systems, the technologies used and how the systems work in technical detail.
This seminar allowed students to increase their knowledge of the rail systems sector and gain new perspectives on their career goals. Students had the opportunity to interact directly with leading figures in the sector and gained valuable information about future rail transportation technologies.
