Ordu Durugöl Nature Park is Expanding

Durugöl Nature Park, one of the important projects brought to the Black Sea by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, continues to expand with the second stage works. Expropriated without any price with the initiatives of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler 36 acres of Durugöl landToday, it has turned into a new living space where people can breathe.

Natural Lake and Ecological Balance are Protected

The Metropolitan Municipality, which has carried out works that have given Ordu a breath of fresh air with the parks it has implemented all around the city, is further expanding its works on a 2-acre land with the 36nd stage works in Durugöl. 70 percent completed.

The teams are rapidly implementing works that will increase the appeal of Durugöl with an aromatic plants area, children's playground, sports equipment, coops for poultry animals, millet barn, serender, wooden pergola seating area, purple wisteria tag roads and closed membrane seating areas.

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, who opened Durugöl to the public rather than to profiteering, said the following about the project:

“Here, everyone, young and old, will be able to read their books and walk their animals. There will also be medicinal and aromatic plants in this park. With this park, where there will also be poultry, we will instill in children a love of animals and agriculture. This transformation, which we initiated by preserving the natural lake and its surroundings, will be a center of attraction where our citizens can breathe, find peace and have a pleasant time with their children as we enter the summer season."

This project aims to increase Ordu's green areas while also providing a versatile living space for families that instills a love of nature and animals. With the completion of Durugöl Nature Park, Ordu will become a richer city in social and ecological terms.
