While the statements of the Ministry of Health, which has initiated a new fight against childhood obesity in Türkiye, have had a wide impact on the public, Mamabüs, which has come to the fore with its pioneering steps in this regard, is closely following the point reached today with its journey that started 10 years ago.
Founded in 2013 to raise awareness of balanced nutrition in schools and to raise healthy generations, Mamabüs has since adopted an approach that not only produces meals but also supports the healthy living habits of children and families as a social responsibility model.
Mamabüs Founder Metin Aydın evaluated the developments with the following words:
“We started this struggle at the table. We put not only food on a child’s plate, but also a vision of the future. The founding purpose of Mamabüs was to teach proper nutrition at an early age, thus shaping the future of society. Fighting obesity is not just a health problem; it is a multifaceted issue that needs to be addressed together with education, social awareness and public policies. We welcome the Ministry of Health taking steps in this regard today. However, it should be known that Mamabüs has been among the real implementers and silent pioneers of this process in the field for many years.”
The model developed by Mamabüs prioritizes the use of fresh and natural products by working with local producers, while basing its nutrition menus on scientific guidance. Menu plans are prepared under the control of dietitians and food engineers; portion balances are adjusted according to age groups.
Mamabüs, which has provided service in more than 200 schools all over Türkiye so far, brings hope and health to the plates of thousands of children every day.
Mamabüs supports this step taken by the Ministry of Health and shares with the public that it is ready to share all its knowledge to develop sustainable, measurable and field-effective solutions through public-private sector collaboration.
