New Appointments in Alstom Leadership Team

Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility solutions, has announced significant changes to its senior management team. These internal appointments, made in line with the company’s growth strategies and business needs, aim to strengthen Alstom’s leadership structure and position the company for future success. With the new appointments, effective June 1, 2025, two experienced Alstom executives will take on leadership roles in different regions.

Andrew DeLeone Appointed Regional President, Europe

Having had a successful career at Alstom for many years, Andrew DeLeone, company Head of Europe Region DeLeone will take on this role after retiring from his distinguished career at Alstom. Gianluca ErbacciAndrew DeLeone’s successful performance as President of Africa, Middle East and Central Asia (AMECA) at Alstom since January 2021 is cited as a key reason for this new appointment. Prior to joining Alstom, DeLeone served as President of Europe, Middle East, Africa and India at Bombardier Transportation. He joined the company in August 2019. Prior to his career, DeLeone held various international leadership positions within General Electric’s Energy business. He has significant experience in driving business growth and improving financial performance. He is also known for his focus on customer satisfaction and his success in expanding the profitable services business. He also stands out as a leader in large-scale transformation projects, optimizing organizational structures and strengthening employee engagement. Having lived and worked in countries as diverse as India, Switzerland, South Africa and the USA, DeLeone’s global business understanding is enhanced by his experience. DeLeone studied Economics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MA in Industrial Relations from Cornell University.

Martin Vaujour Becomes AMECA Regional President and Executive Board Member

Another important appointment from Alstom is Martin Vaujour'a AMECA (Africa, Middle East and Central Asia) Regional President In this new role, Vaujour will also join Alstom’s Executive Board as a member. Martin Vaujour joined Alstom’s headquarters in March 2020 to manage the integration process of the Bombardier acquisition and has served as Head of M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) and Investor Relations since 2021. Vaujour joined Alstom in 2009, later moving to Moscow where he held various roles in Finance and General Management, and most recently leading the Russia-CIS region as a member of the Alstom Board of Directors. As a significant turning point in his career, Vaujour was seconded to TMH (Transmashholding) from 2016 to 2020, where he served as CEO of TMH-International and developed TMH’s business in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. Vaujour, who started his career as an external auditor and consultant for industrial and civil engineering companies at Arthur Andersen (now EY) in 1999 before joining Alstom, is a graduate of the ESCP Business School in Paris. With his extensive experience in general management, stakeholder relations and finance, Vaujour is expected to continue the growth momentum in the AMECA region and bring new perspectives.
