Konya Bus Terminal Breaks Türkiye Record

Konya Bus Terminal, given by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure 12 T1 authorization documents It has achieved the title of being the bus station operator with the most certificates in Türkiye. This success has emerged as a result of the determined efforts of Konya Metropolitan Municipality to raise the standards of bus stations throughout the province.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality took action after Konya was selected as a pilot province in bus terminal operations by the 2022nd Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in 2. The Metropolitan Municipality initiated a comprehensive study to raise the standards of the terminals in Akşehir, Beyşehir, Bozkır, Cihanbeyli, Ereğli, Hüyük, Ilgın, Kadınhanı, Karapınar, Karatay and Kulu districts.

As a result of the meticulous work of the Metropolitan Municipality, the terminals in the districts were first brought into compliance with the fire regulations. Then, the terminals, whose licenses were renewed, were entitled to receive the T1 authorization certificate after detailed inspections. In this way, the Konya Bus Terminal, together with the bus terminal in the center, 12 T1 authorization documents took the top spot in this field in Türkiye.

The authorization documents were delivered to Konya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Ahmet Furkan Kuşdemir at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure 2nd Regional Director Kemal Yılmaz.

Deputy Secretary General Ahmet Furkan Kuşdemir said in his speech at the ceremony, “Our Konya Bus Terminal, which operates with the motto of Life Begins When You Reach Us, is a frequent destination for our local and foreign guests due to its location at an important junction. For this reason, we attach great importance to the quality of the service we provide. We have also renewed our district bus terminals with this vision and provided them with T1 documents.” Kuşdemir emphasized that Konya Metropolitan Municipality will continue its efforts to increase the quality standards in the field of transportation with determination.
