
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will hold the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day celebrations with the theme of 'We Have Youth'. A total of 54 young groups consisting of 24 university theater teams, 7 high school and university music groups, 3 chamber music groups and 88 youth orchestras, and thousands of young people will be the guests of IMM on May 19. The events that IMM will organize with its units, affiliated organizations and participations in squares, parks and cultural centers will bring Istanbulites together with the joy of the holiday.
LET'S MEET IN SARAÇHANE
Saraçhane, the home of Istanbulites, will host colorful events on May 18 and 19. Within the scope of the “Young Stage” event of the IMM Orchestra, 24 high school and university music groups determined by applications will take the stage in the areas. The young groups will give concerts in Saraçhane Park on May 18-19 (16.00:18.00-24:25) and in Maçka Democracy Park (18.00:22.00-18.00:22.00) and Caddebostan Beach (XNUMX:XNUMX-XNUMX:XNUMX) on May XNUMX-XNUMX.
The youth meetings at the IMM Saraçhane Park on May 18-19 will include workshops and information tents on the areas provided by IMM for young people, “Duvar-sız”, an interactive graffiti area where young people reflect their dreams for Istanbul, events for young people with the Institute Istanbul İSMEK, IMM Children, Youth and Sports Directorate, table tennis, mini basketball court, cross fit track, digital playgrounds, street performances and stand-up shows by the Sports Evaluation Directorate.

The “Young Days” traditionally organized by the IMM City Theatres is being held for the 39th time this year. A total of 54 universities are hosting the “Young Days”. 20 conservatories, 28 theatre clubs, and 5 young theatres from the City Theatres’ internal productions will perform a total of 87 theatre plays.
Within the scope of the 39th Young Days, the documentary "Youth Theatre", which tells the story of our country's first university theatre, which enabled Turkish theatre to open up to Europe for the first time, trained master theatre artists, and its effects on Turkey, will be screened on Saturday, May 17 at 19.00:XNUMX at the Üsküdar Musahipzade Celal Stage.
MUSEUMS ARE FREE
Museums affiliated with IMM Kültür AŞ will be free for Turkish citizens between the ages of 19-15 on May 25 between 09.00:14.00-1453:XNUMX. Free tickets covering the Basilica Cistern, Şerefiye Cistern, Miniatürk, Panorama XNUMX and Digital Experience Center can be obtained via the Radar Turkey app. In order to benefit from the one-day campaign, visitors must present their QR code and ID documents in the “transactions” section of the Radar Türkiye app at the museum entrances.
Dance workshops will be held at Miniatürk and the Digital Experience Museum, while choir performances will be held at certain times at the Panorama 1453 History Museum, Şerefiye and Basilica Cistern.

The 19 May Youth Cup Athletics Competitions will be held on May 17-18 at the Maltepe Kenan Onuk Athletics Track. This special tournament organized by Spor Istanbul, where 500 young people will compete, will take place at the Maltepe Kenan Onuk Athletics Track.
TECHNOLOGY AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FESTIVAL
The Technology and Artificial Intelligence Festival, which will be held in collaboration with Kültür AŞ, Tech Istanbul and the Regional Employment Office at the Museum Gazhane, will keep the excitement of May 19 alive throughout the day. Throughout the festival; inspiring talks in the field of artificial intelligence, startup success stories, interactive workshops, AI-supported art and coding experiences, live music performances and creative workshops will be held.
YOUTH DAY SPECIAL CONCERT AT CRR
One of the most prestigious venues in Istanbul, Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall will give its stage to young people on May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. In the Youth Day Special Concert, where 16 chamber music groups consisting of 23 talented young musicians, aged between 21 and 7, selected through applications, will take place, a rich repertoire ranging from the classical period to modern tones and local melodies will meet music lovers. The concert, which gives voice to the values entrusted to the youth by the Republic with the richness of classical music, will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 20.00:XNUMX.
CRR will continue to host performances by young people on May 18 and 19. As part of the “Youth Orchestras Meeting” project of the IMM Orchestra, 3 youth orchestras will give a concert at CRR on May 18-19 at 20.00:10. Şile Municipality Youth Orchestra and Balıkesir Municipality Mod18 Youth Orchestra will be on the CRR stage on Sunday, May 20.00 at 19:20.00, and Ataşehir Municipality Youth Symphony Orchestra will be on Monday, May XNUMX at XNUMX:XNUMX. Orhan Şallıel will give a two-day orchestra culture masterclass to the participating orchestras.
