Students staying in IMM dormitories will come together for a sports festival this weekend. Approximately 14 students from 600 dormitories will participate in the festival, which will be held for the third time. Students will compete for championship in team sports such as volleyball, basketball and football, and in individual sports such as table tennis, archery and chess.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Dormitories Sports Festival, which was first held in 2022, will be held for the third time on May 10-11. Students from 14 IMM Dormitories will attend the festival, which will be organized by the IMM Youth and Sports Services Department Dormitory Services Branch Directorate.
TEAM SPIRIT AND INDIVIDUAL TALENT WILL MEET ON THE FIELD
At the festival, which will be hosted by the IMM Hidayet Türkoğlu Sports Complex in Bayrampaşa, students will take part as teams in three branches: basketball, football and volleyball. Archery, table tennis and chess will be the individual branches where young people will compete for medals.
OFFICIAL REFEREES, THE EXCITEMENT OF A REAL TOURNAMENT
The competitions at the sports festival will not compromise on professionalism. Basketball, volleyball, table tennis and chess matches will be managed by referees from the relevant federations.
