Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç, in his speech at the 70th anniversary events of Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ), emphasized the importance of the university for the region and Turkey. The most important of these is information, the one who accesses information the fastest becomes the owner of power, but what really matters is how that power is used after having it. This is the most important issue right now, it is not enough to just access information and knowledge quickly. Rail System Good News for KTU: Brand Value Will Increase
President Genç, while touching upon the unique features of KTÜ, announced an exciting project for the future. “There is an airport within our university. We do not have another university like this. Now, hopefully, we will work on the implementation project within our university. There will also be a rail system. Therefore, we will become a greater value and brand. With these feelings, I congratulate and thank our university on its 70th anniversary,” he said, signaling that KTÜ will become an integrated life and transportation center, beyond being just an educational institution.
