'Goal-Based Support Education' Coming to 12th Grade

Starting next year, the “Goal-Based Support Education” course will be offered to support the academic development of 12th grade students, contribute to their career planning, and strengthen their university preparation processes.

In response to demands from students and parents, a new practice is being launched starting next year to ensure that the preparation process for higher education for students in their final year of high school is made more comprehensive.

In this context, changes were made to the weekly course schedules applied in secondary education institutions in order to carry out the application. The "Goal-Based Support Education" course was included in the new schedules for 12th grade students to eliminate their learning deficiencies, consolidate their previous learning and strengthen their preparation processes for higher education.

The course will be planned by the school administrations according to the student preferences and can be chosen between 3 and 6 hours per week.

It is aimed to strengthen equality of opportunity in education.

The content of the “Target-Based Support Education” course will include field courses such as Turkish language and literature, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, philosophy, mathematics, sociology, psychology, logic, first foreign language, contemporary Turkish and world history, Turkish Revolutionary History and Kemalism, religious culture and moral knowledge, and Turkish culture and civilization history.

A minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 hours per week can be allocated for each course. The scope of the course will be prepared by the department teachers based on the relevant curriculum.

Thanks to the course, students will be able to eliminate all learning deficiencies they experience from 9th to 12th grades, and the knowledge and skills that should have been acquired in previous years but could not be acquired for various reasons will be systematically compensated.

In addition, the lessons will be implemented during school hours, allowing students to both eliminate their learning losses and carry out their exam preparation processes in the school environment and under the guidance of their teachers. The “Goal-Based Support Education” course aims to minimize the need for out-of-school support education and strengthen equal opportunities in education.

MEBI will support students' learning process

Students will not be given any grades at the end of the course, which will be offered starting next year.

Within the scope of the course, students' development will be monitored and individual support will be provided by giving feedback to students through process evaluation methods.

In addition, teachers will be able to support students' learning process by accessing course content from MEBI, an artificial intelligence-supported individual learning platform, if needed in the classroom.
