Ordu Metropolitan Municipality teams have launched an important study to solve transportation problems in the Yeşilada Neighborhood of Kabadüz district and to ensure that citizens can travel safely. The road widening works carried out on the 3-kilometer main artery of the neighborhood aim to provide two-way traffic flow in narrow and single-vehicle areas of the route.
Two-Way Traffic Flow Will Be Provided at Narrow Points
In the current situation, some sections of the main transportation axis of Yeşilada Neighborhood were narrow enough to allow only one vehicle to pass. This situation caused delays and security risks, especially during busy hours. Ordu Metropolitan Municipality teams started intensive work on the upper part of the road in order to solve this problem permanently. While the teams are excavating the soil with construction equipment, they are also widening the road by performing demolition work on hard rock ground. In this way, two-way and safe traffic flow will be possible at critical points of the route.
Landslide Risk Will Be Eliminated, Transportation Safety Will Be Increased
In addition to the road widening works, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality teams are also carrying out important safety work in some lower parts of the route. Rock fortification will be laid in these parts of the narrow road. With this work, it is aimed to protect the road against landslide risk and to maximize transportation safety. The stability of the road will be increased with a solid rock fortification and possible landslides will be prevented and the life and property safety of the citizens will be guaranteed. With the completion of the works, thanks to both the widening of the road from the upper part and the fortification made in the lower part, the residents of Yeşilada Neighborhood and other citizens using the route will have a safe and comfortable transportation opportunity. This investment is considered as an important step that will increase the transportation standards in the region and make the daily lives of the residents of the neighborhood easier.
