Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu examined the new air traffic control tower works built within the scope of Ankara Esenboğa Airport Capacity Increase works. Stating that they have come to an end in the 3-meter 750rd runway and 3-meter long air traffic control tower works, Uraloğlu said, “The annual passenger capacity of our Esenboğa Airport will increase to 77 million.”

Minister Uraloğlu reminded that they started the modernization works planned in two stages in 2023 in order to respond to the increasing passenger and aircraft traffic at the airport in question.
3. Runway and Control Tower Works Have Come to an End
Providing information about the first stage works, Minister Uraloğlu stated that they have almost completed the 1-meter 3rd runway, 750-meter-long air traffic control tower and technical block works within the scope of the first stage, and said, “Within the scope of the works we have initiated to make our airport capable of meeting the needs of the age and to ensure that Ankara has a facility worthy of world capitals, the annual passenger capacity of our Esenboğa Airport will increase to 3 million.”
