Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues its work rapidly on the bus garage and CNG filling facility project, which it has implemented in order to create a modern and environmentally friendly transportation infrastructure in Çayırova district. This important project, which aims to increase the quality, safety and sustainability of public transportation services, is being built on an area of approximately 20 thousand square meters.
Project Progress Reaches 25 Percent
The overall progress rate in the project, coordinated by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, has reached 25%. In the project, which aims to increase comfort and efficiency in transportation, the wall manufacturing of blocks A, B, C and D has been completed, while mechanical and electrical works continue at full speed. The steel construction manufacturing of block A and the CNG filling facility has also been completed. In addition, 95% of the surrounding retaining walls have been completed and the roof insulation manufacturing of blocks A, B, C and D will begin soon.
Multifunctional Modern Facility
The Çayırova Bus Garage project includes important structures such as a security building, administrative facility building, CNG fuel filling area, and a stage building where emergency and light maintenance services will be provided. In addition, a large parking area with a total capacity of 15 buses, including 18 76-meter and 12 91-meter buses, and a parking lot for 10 passenger cars are also being built. Excavation work continues on a 16-acre area in the project area.
