Bursa Metropolitan Municipality has launched a significant infrastructure improvement project in order to meet the expected passenger density in the summer months at the intercity and international bus terminal and to make the traffic flow at the terminal more orderly. Implementing projects in many areas from transportation to superstructure, culture to art, the Metropolitan Municipality has launched a comprehensive renovation process at the terminal, which is used by thousands of passengers and where hundreds of vehicles enter and exit every day.
Road and Sidewalk Arrangements in Front of the Terminal
The works carried out under the coordination of the Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department are concentrated on the front section of the terminal. In this area, existing roads and pavements are being rearranged and asphalt works are being carried out. In this way, vehicles and pedestrians entering and exiting the terminal will be able to move more safely and comfortably. In addition, it is planned to completely renew the damaged grounds in the terminal area with these works.
Additional Capacity for Urban Platforms
The improvement works are not limited to the outer part of the terminal. New platforms are also being built in the city center area to increase operational capacity. These additional platforms aim to allow city buses to pick up and drop off passengers more regularly and reduce congestion inside the terminal.
Special Washing and Supply Area for BBBUS Vehicles
In order to further increase the service quality of BBBUS vehicles, which are Bursa Metropolitan Municipality's own bus fleet, a special washing and supply area is being built within the terminal. Thanks to this modern facility, cleaning and maintenance operations of BBBUS vehicles will be carried out more quickly and efficiently, which will contribute to the increase in comfort offered to passengers.
Preparing for Summer Intensive
These comprehensive infrastructure works, which aim to provide passengers with a more comfortable, safe and faster service at the terminal, will add significant value to the general operation of the terminal. These preparations, which are made especially before the expected busy summer months, will positively affect the travel experience of the passengers and ensure that the terminal provides more efficient service. This project of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality is considered an important step that will ensure that Bursa Bus Terminal, an important center of intercity and international transportation, enters the future in a more prepared and equipped manner.
