Ordu Metropolitan Municipality continues to equip districts with new bicycle and walking paths in order to promote healthy living, improve urban aesthetics and popularize the use of bicycles as an environmentally friendly means of transportation. These efforts, which gained momentum with Mayor Güler’s assumption of office, are also supported by regular maintenance and repair activities on existing bicycle and walking paths.
Districts Gain Value with Bicycle and Walking Paths
In line with the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality's vision of creating healthy transportation and living spaces, new bicycle paths were built in the Ünye, Perşembe, Gülyalı and Altınordu districts. These paths allow citizens to cycle safely and enjoyably, while also offering an alternative option for urban transportation.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which attaches great importance to walking paths as well as bicycle paths, has opened walking paths that will support healthy living and contribute to urban aesthetics in the districts of Aybastı, Fatsa, Altınordu, Ünye, Gülyalı and Perşembe. In these areas that are put into use, in addition to the work carried out in accordance with the standards, special areas have also been created for citizens to rest and perform sports activities. In this way, citizens living in different districts of Ordu have access to modern and useful bicycle and walking paths.
Renovation Work on Bicycle and Running Paths on Altınordu Beach
In addition to all these new investment works, maintenance and repair works are carried out continuously in order to protect and improve the existing bicycle and walking paths. In this context, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality teams are carrying out a comprehensive renovation work on the bicycle and running paths in Altınordu district.
The bicycle and running paths on the approximately 5-kilometer route from Durugöl to Kirazlimanı on the Altınordu coast are being redefined with painting work. Thanks to these works carried out feverishly by expert teams in the field, the safety of bicycle and walking paths is being increased and a significant contribution is being made to the aesthetics of the city. The teams are expected to complete the work in a short time and offer the renewed paths to the use of citizens. These works show that Ordu Metropolitan Municipality not only makes new investments but also meticulously maintains existing public areas.
