Gendarmerie Inspected a Train in Amasya

Amasya Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams carried out a remarkable inspection in order to maximize security on intercity train journeys. With the joint work of the Central District Gendarmerie Command and the Combating Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department Directorate teams, a comprehensive security check was carried out on the passenger train.

Gendarmerie teams boarded the TCDD passenger train, which was operating on the Samsun-Sivas railway line, and conducted a meticulous inspection activity with the aim of effectively combating narcotics and capturing individuals wanted for various crimes. As part of the operation, the identity checks of all passengers on the train were carried out one by one. In addition, detailed searches were carried out on suspicious luggage and items.

It was stated that the main purpose of such inspections is to increase the security of citizens traveling on intercity trains and to create a deterrent effect against those who are thinking of committing crimes. Gendarmerie teams emphasized that such inspections they carry out play an important role in the fight against crime and criminals.
