Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that they will increase the capacity of YHT, mainline and regional trains by a total of 10 people in order to respond to the increasing passenger demand during the Eid al-Adha holiday. Minister Uraloğlu said, “We will operate 866 additional YHT trips between Ankara and Istanbul, and 6 more people will reach their loved ones with the comfort of YHT. We will provide an additional seat capacity of 2 people with a total of 466 wagons added to our mainline and regional trains.”
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that passenger capacity has been increased in high-speed, mainline and regional trains in order to respond to the increasing passenger demand during the Eid al-Adha holiday. Minister Uraloğlu said, “We will provide a total capacity increase of 10 people in our YHT, mainline and regional trains so that our citizens can fully experience the abundance and joy of the holiday. We have completed the necessary planning for both our high-speed and conventional train lines.”
2 Additional Trips for YHT with 466 People
Minister Uraloğlu announced that they will organize additional trips on the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train line on June 5, 8 and 9. Minister Uraloğlu said, “We will organize 3 additional trips between Ankara and Istanbul in 6 days. Thus, 2 more people will be able to reach their loved ones with the comfort of YHT.”
8 Seat Increase in Mainline and Regional Trains
From the Eastern Express to Izmir Mavi, from the Pamukkale Express to Edirne-Halkalı Stating that wagons were added to many lines up to the Regional Train, Uraloğlu made the following statements in his statement:
“Between June 5-9, we will provide an additional seating capacity of 140 people by adding a total of 8 wagons to our mainline and regional trains. During the holiday, we will provide service with a total of 400 wagons per day, and an average of 28 passengers will have a more enjoyable journey.”

Stating that the railway is one of the most preferred transportation alternatives by citizens during the holiday period with its safe, environmentally friendly and comfortable structure, Uraloğlu said, “We are ready for the holiday rush on the railway. We have made all the necessary plans so that our citizens can reach their loved ones safely and comfortably during the holiday.”
