
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality affiliate, Kültür AŞ, is launching two separate campaigns to bring cultural heritage to wider audiences within the scope of Museums Week. Five important museums that shed light on Istanbul’s history and cultural richness; Basilica Cistern, Panorama 1453 History Museum, Digital Experience Center, Miniatürk and Şerefiye Cistern, are preparing to offer their visitors a unique experience on the occasion of Museums Day and Week this year. These five museums, which shed light on different periods and themes of Istanbul, can be visited free of charge on May 18 and with an advantageous ticket system throughout the week.
Museums are Free on May 18
Within the scope of the campaign valid on May 18th Museums Day; Turkish citizens can visit the Basilica Cistern, Panorama 1453 History Museum, Digital Experience Center, Miniatürk and Şerefiye Cistern between 09.00-14.00. will be hosted free of charge.
*To benefit from the one-day campaign, visitors must present their QR code and ID documents found in the "transactions" section of the Radar Türkiye application at the museum entrances.
Discounted Ticket Opportunity Begins with “My City-i-Alem Museum Route”
As part of the Museums Week between May 18-24, Turkish citizens who purchase a 20% discounted 5x5 museum ticket will be able to embark on a cultural journey at the Basilica Cistern, Şerefiye Cistern, Digital Experience Center, Miniatürk and Panorama 1453 History Museum.
Participants who visit all museums and collect all five stamps on their culture 5x5 tickets will be entitled to benefit from a limited number of concert tickets to be held at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theatre.

A 3D Museum Experience: Panorama 1453 History Museum
The Panorama 1453 History Museum, the world's first full panoramic museum, welcomes its visitors with a projection mapping show called "Sultan Mehmed's Dream". Offering a 3D museum experience, Sultan Mehmed's Dream offers a visual feast focusing on how Mehmed II's passion for conquering Constantinople, which began when he was a prince, gradually came true. The museum also houses the Costanzo da Ferrara medallion that Fatih Sultan Mehmed had posed for 542 years ago.
Where Time Stops: Miniaturk
Miniatürk brings together the rich architectural heritage of every civilization that has ruled and left its mark on these lands, from the Ancient Age to the Romans, from the Seljuks to the Ottomans. It also welcomes its visitors with the Istanbul Historical Peninsula Model Exhibition, which includes 10.000/1 scaled models of more than 87 figures.
