8 New Boulevards Opened in Eskişehir

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality has provided a significant breath of fresh air to city traffic with the comprehensive road construction and expansion works carried out throughout the city in 2024. Thanks to these works, which are among the priority goals of Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce, many streets and avenues have become boulevards, increasing the quality of life of neighborhood residents and contributing positively to the businesses of local tradesmen.

The Metropolitan Municipality has made transportation in different neighborhoods of the city safer, modern and comfortable with the road and sidewalk works it has carried out throughout 2024. It was stated that as a result of these meticulous works, many existing avenues and streets have been widened and upgraded to boulevard standards, while traffic density in the city has also decreased noticeably. In a statement on the subject, Head of Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Department Niyazi Solak said, “Within the scope of the road and sidewalk works we carried out in 2024, we completed the widening and sidewalk works on Örme and Girneliler Streets in our Şirintepe neighborhood, Sırma, Osmanpaşa and Akkurt streets in our Esentepe neighborhood, Şehit Ali İlbay and Fatih Boulevards in our Yeşiltepe neighborhood, and the connection road connecting Sakintepe and Kozkayı neighborhoods, thus turning them into boulevards.” According to this statement, a total of eight new boulevards have been opened in different parts of the city.

Expressing that the work carried out was met with great satisfaction in their neighborhood, Şirintepe Neighborhood Headman Ali Tıkız said, “On behalf of myself and my neighborhood, I would like to thank our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce and her teammates for completing the infrastructure and asphalt works in a smooth and modern manner.” These statements by Headman Tıkız show how successful the work carried out by the Metropolitan Municipality has been with the cooperation of the local administration and citizens.
