Muay Thai Professional Competitions hosted by Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality brought together combat sports enthusiasts at Hayri Gür Sports Hall. 14 professional athletes who entered the ring during the exciting night gave the audience unforgettable moments with their fierce competition. At the end of the breathtaking matches, 7 athletes defeated their opponents and won the victory and the cup.
Organized under the leadership of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department, in cooperation with Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate and Turkish Muay Thai Federation, “Muay Thai Professional Competitions and Gala Night” was met with great interest from the sports community and combat sports enthusiasts. Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department Head Özgür Kara, Trabzon Youth and Sports Provincial Director Lokman Arıcıoğlu, Turkish Muay Thai Federation Branch Head Hakan Şahade, Ülkü Ocakları Trabzon Provincial Head Ertuğrul Bayrak, successful names of the organization Neslihan Mollaoğlu and Erdoğan Cineviz and many combat sports enthusiasts attended this special event at Hayri Gür Sports Hall. A total of 14 talented athletes from both Türkiye and different countries stepped into the ring in 7 competitive professional competitions.
Fierce Fights and Knockouts in the Ring Marked the Night
The exciting opening match of the night took place between Enes Bekar from Türkiye and Ali Reza Mehrabi from Iran in the 63 kg category. The winner of the tough match was Ali Reza Mehrabi. Then, our representative Nazlı Karakuş stepped into the ring in the 54 kg women's category and defeated her opponent Emine Sıla Kabaağaç, receiving great applause from the audience. In the 75 kg category, Ömer Zeynul and Hasan Subhi from Türkiye competed. Hasan Subhi put up an impressive performance and managed to knock out his opponent in the 2nd round. In the 60 kg women's category, Berna Tut put up a superior performance and won the match between Berna Tut and Yeganeh Tajmirrahi from Iran. Aybars Buhara won the closely contested match between Aybars Buhara and Iranian Mehdi Sharifi in the 67 kg category. One of the most remarkable knockouts of the night occurred in the 85 kg category. Ahmet Kılıç, representing Türkiye, knocked out his Iranian opponent Kianoush Keyvani Rad with an impressive strike in the first round to win. The eagerly awaited final fight of the night took place in the heavyweight category. Turkish athlete Salih İmamcı defeated his opponent Özgür Özpolat and crowned the night with a victory. After the matches were completed, all the athletes who worked hard in the ring, both winners and losers, were presented with their trophies in a ceremony.
Trabzon Will Continue to Be Ambitious in Every Field of Sports
After the night, the Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Lokman Arıcıoğlu made an assessment and emphasized that Trabzon, as a sports city, has hosted many important organizations to date and will continue to do so. Arıcıoğlu said, “Muay Thai Professional Competitions were just one of these meaningful organizations. As the host, I would like to thank all stakeholders and everyone who contributed to the organization, especially our Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç. We will continue our work with the aim of taking Trabzon further in every field of sports. We will continue to increase the number of organizations that cover all branches, spread sports to the grassroots and inspire our youth.”
