İZSU Starts 110 Million Euro Infrastructure Project

İZSU General Directorate is also starting the third infrastructure project within the scope of the Turkey Earthquake, Flood and Fire Emergency Reconstruction Project (TEFWER) to be implemented with 110 million Euros of World Bank financing. The project, which includes 29 kilometers of wastewater and 29 kilometers of rainwater separation work in Konak and Karabağlar, will be introduced to citizens on Monday, April 14 at the Karabağlar Municipality Furniture Academy at 14.00:XNUMX.

The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality İZSU General Directorate continues its work to strengthen the infrastructure of Konak and Karabağlar, which are densely populated areas of the city, and to prevent floods caused by the climate crisis. The Konak and Karabağlar districts separation project, the third of the investments to be implemented with the 110 million Euro financing from the World Bank, will be introduced to citizens on Monday, April 14 at 14.00:XNUMX. Within the scope of the project, a total of 1 kilometers of wastewater and 2 kilometers of rainwater separation work will be carried out in Konak Bahçelievler and Bahar neighborhoods and Karabağlar Akın Simavi, Atilla, Çimentepe, Duatepe, Güneşli, Kemal Reis, Kılıç Reis, Murat Reis, Piri Reis, Mithatpaşa, Zafertepe, 29. Kadriye and 29. Kadriye neighborhoods.

The tender process for the construction of 2,5 kilometers of rainwater and 6,7 kilometers of sewage in Konak Umurbey, Halkapınar, Mersinli and Çınarlı neighborhoods, which is the first project within the scope of the Turkey Earthquake, Flood and Forest Fire Development Project financed by the World Bank and carried out by İlbank AŞ., continues. The construction tender for the second project, which includes the construction of 8,5 kilometers of rainwater network and 8 kilometers of sewage in Konak Ege Neighborhood Alsancak Port area, will be held on April 16, 2025. The aim is to create an urban infrastructure resistant to climate change and floods with 3 major investments.
