Türkiye's First and Only Romani Youth Orchestra Takes the Stage

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Akın brought together Romani youth who have achieved significant success with their musical talents in the world and in our country in the Romani Youth Orchestra. Türkiye's first and only Romani Youth Orchestra, which Akın brought to life as a social responsibility project, will perform its first concert in the Courtyard on April 8, World Romani Day.

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Akın, who produces projects with an equal and fair service approach for all segments of society, has implemented an exemplary social responsibility project that is unique in Türkiye. The Roma Youth Orchestra, which Mayor Akın announced at the Roma Gathering, which produces services based on needs without discriminating against anyone, will perform its first concert on April 8, World Roma Day. The orchestra, consisting of 8 young talents ranging in age from 18 to 30, will meet the audience at the Avlu Congress and Culture Center on Tuesday, April 8 at 20.30:XNUMX. The concert, which will be held with the slogan “If we wrote this concert, it would be a novel” within the scope of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality culture and arts activities, will feature the talented young people of the orchestra giving life to distinguished works of Romani music.
