VISUAL FEAST IN EMİRGAN
This year, a total of 7 million 780 thousand bulbous plants will adorn Istanbul. Emirgan Grove was the area where the most plants were planted with 100 different varieties and 3 million 120 thousand plants. It is followed by Göztepe 2. Yıl Park with 60 million plants and Gülhane Grove with 1 million 600 thousand plants. In addition to tulips, other harbingers of spring such as narcissus, hyacinth and Arabian Hyacinth (muscari) also enrich the spring atmosphere in the city.
This year, Emirgan will fascinate not only with its tulip variety but also with its thematic motifs. Traditional motifs such as 'I LOVE ISTANBUL' text, 'Tulip Stream', 'Pink Ribbon' theme and 'Turkish Flag and Rose Motif' will be presented to the visitors.
A riot of colors in YILDIZ GROVE
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has filled Yıldız Grove with colorful flowers with 2025 thousand new bulbous plants that will meet the soil for the first time in 368. Thousands of flowers in the grove, including 200 thousand lilies, 123 thousand freesias, 30 thousand gladioluses, and 15 thousand ornamental bulbs, will add new colors to Istanbul's floral memory.
