Within the scope of the vision project of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, the 'Great Melet Project', the change and transformation works carried out around the Melet River are progressing rapidly. Following the completion of the 1st and 2nd stages of the project, an important step was taken in the 50rd stage works carried out in the 3-acre area between the Black Sea Coastal Road and the Black Sea coast in Durugöl Neighborhood. With the completion of the installation of the lighting elements, the Melet 3rd Stage, which was energized, is preparing to become the new center of attraction of Ordu with its sparkling appearance.
Melet Transformed from Dump to Living Center
The Melet Project, which Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler attaches great importance to, was implemented with the aim of transforming the region from its idle and neglected appearance into a modern living space. The Metropolitan Municipality, which brought a new breath to the region with the previously completed 1st and 2nd stages, is ensuring the integrity of the project with the meticulous work it has carried out in the 3rd stage.
The Feverish Work in the 3rd Stage Has Yielded Results
Many important works have been completed in Melet Stage 3 so far, such as rainwater drainage line, pressed concrete application, construction of walking paths, soil leveling works, creation of electrical infrastructure, laying of irrigation pipes, cleaning of waste in the area, parking lot ground filling and slab stone paving. Finally, with the completion of the lighting works, energy was supplied to the area and Melet Stage 3 gained a dazzling appearance. The Metropolitan Municipality aims to complete the urban furniture and other small details of the project as soon as possible and offer this new living space to the people of Ordu.
Stage 3 None None
The third stage of the project was designed to meet all the needs of modern city life. The project includes walking paths where citizens can have fun, stylish cafeterias where they can relax, special playgrounds where children can play safely, fitness areas that support healthy living and multi-purpose sports fields that allow for different sports activities. In addition, a large parking area has been considered for visitors arriving by car. A dry pool that will increase the visual richness of the project, meeting areas that can host various events, meticulously designed landscaping and a mosque and fountain that will meet the need for worship will also be included in the third stage. All these elements will be completed with a modern lighting system and stylish urban furniture, making Melet the new social center of attraction in Ordu.
Each Stage Adds a Different Beauty
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality had first completed an area of 8 thousand square meters in the Melet Project and opened it to citizens. Then, the 2nd stage works were started and the project, which was implemented in an area of 30 acres, brought another important social living area to Ordu. The 1st and 2nd stage works, which were greatly appreciated by the citizens, brought vitality to the region, leaving its old idle state behind and turned into a place visited by many citizens every day. With the 3rd stage, which is now in the completion phase, the Melet River area will be transformed from end to end into a modern and functional living area and will make an important contribution to the social life of Ordu.
