Ordu Metropolitan Municipality is organizing the “Most Beautiful Street, Balcony and Neighborhood Competition” to encourage citizens who contribute to the beauty of the city and to reward exemplary projects. The scope of the “Most Beautiful Balcony Competition”, which has attracted great attention in previous years, will be expanded this year and the most beautiful street and the most beautiful neighborhood will also be rewarded.
The competition, which was implemented in line with the municipality's vision of "rewarding the good and the beautiful and demonstrating an exemplary understanding of municipality", will be organized in three different categories. The 41 Most Beautiful Neighborhoods of the City Will Be Selected
Within the scope of the “Most Beautiful Neighborhood Competition”, 576 neighborhoods that meet the specified criteria will be selected from 41 rural neighborhoods of Ordu. The competition will include the most beautiful examples of rural neighborhoods in 19 districts of Ordu that reflect this life with their social and economic characteristics, small population density, generally engaged in agriculture and architectural texture.
In the neighborhood competition, which will be held in two stages, 576 neighborhoods will be determined from 100 rural neighborhoods in the first stage. In the second stage, a total of 100 "most beautiful neighborhoods" will be selected from these 19 neighborhoods, 22 of which will be selected by District Municipalities, 41 by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, and based on the results of the public vote.
The Lifeblood of the City, the Streets, Will Be Awarded
The “Most Beautiful Street Competition” will reward streets that reflect the liveliness of the city with their contemporary and original structures. The competition will include especially urban neighborhoods in 19 districts of Ordu. The suggestions made by the residents of the neighborhood to the mukhtars and the applications made by the mukhtars themselves will also be evaluated. The most beautiful streets will be selected in line with the criteria determined by the jury. It was stated that more than one street from a district can take part in the competition.
The 19 Most Beautiful Balconies from 5 Districts Will Be Selected
The “Most Beautiful Balcony Competition”, which has attracted great interest in previous years, will be held again this year. The aim is to ensure that the balconies of houses in Ordu are integrated with the city and become a source of inspiration for the city and its residents. Balconies from 19 districts will be evaluated in the competition and the 5 most beautiful balconies will be awarded. It was also stated that the number of balconies to be awarded may increase depending on the number of applications.
The winners of the “Most Beautiful Balcony Competition” will receive various awards. The first place winner will receive a full gold coin, the second place winner will receive a half gold coin, the third place winner will receive a quarter gold coin, and the fourth and fifth place winners will receive a Municipality Culture Publications Bag and a theater ticket.
Competition Results Will Be Announced in May
The results of the “Most Beautiful Street, Balcony and Neighborhood Competition”, organized to promote aesthetic and livable areas in Ordu and to build a more beautiful city together with the citizens, will be shared with the public on May 20.
