AK Party Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz and Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar visited Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) and closely examined the products that are a source of pride for our local and national defense industry. Iraqi MP and Investment Commission Chairman Usame Kerim Halef and his accompanying delegation also attended the visit.
Yavuz and Alemdar met with TAI General Manager Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu and received detailed information about the work carried out by TAI. Then, they had the opportunity to closely examine domestic and national defense industry products produced by TAI, such as the KAAN National Combat Aircraft, ATAK Helicopter, ANKA and the ŞİMŞEK unmanned aerial vehicle that played an important role in winning the Karabakh War.
“We Cannot Be Proud Enough”
After the visit to TUSAŞ, Chairman Yusuf Alemdar made evaluations and expressed that they were proud of the achievements of our local and national value TUSAŞ. Alemdar said, “We were proud of our visit to Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) today. We had the opportunity to see many works, from our Kaan National Combat Aircraft to the Attack Helicopter, Anka and the unmanned aerial vehicle named Şimşek, which played a major role in winning the Karabakh War. We cannot be proud enough of the achievements of our local and national value TUSAŞ, which makes our nation proud with its products. I would like to express my gratitude to all our engineers who work to strengthen the independence of the Turkish defense industry.”
Local and National Steps
AK Party Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz drew attention to the developments Türkiye has made in the defense industry in the last 23 years. Yavuz said, “AK Party Deputy Chairman Yavuz, who drew attention to the many projects and countless investments Türkiye has encountered in the 23-year period, said that the most important of these investments, works and projects are the developments in the defense industry, successful works, and the implementation of local and national steps.”

Deputy Chairman Yavuz emphasized that TAI plays a critical role in the development of national and domestic aircraft and defense systems, and said, “Our national and domestic value TAI plays a critical role in the development of domestic aircraft and defense systems needed by our army. Today, we saw the proud productions of our defense industry at TAI. I would like to thank everyone who has a share in this success. We have reached a position that draws attention in this field by producing domestic aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), helicopters, satellites and other defense technologies as a country. We will work harder and produce more. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will carry our country to the goals of the Turkish Century in every field.”
The visit once again emphasized the importance of Türkiye's domestic and national breakthroughs in the defense industry, while also revealing TAI's critical role in this field.
