Students Became Traffic Gendarmerie in Bolu

Taking an important step towards becoming the conscious drivers and passengers of the future in Bolu, high school students carried out a meaningful awareness event together with the gendarmerie traffic teams. Bolu Mimar İzzet Baysal Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students collaborated with the Bolu Provincial Gendarmerie Command Traffic Control Branch Directorate teams to stop vehicles in motion at the Abant Toll Booths and warn passengers and drivers about the vital importance of seat belt use and traffic rules.

Traffic Safety Information Study by Students

In the event, which was held to instill traffic safety awareness from a young age and to draw attention to the importance of seat belt use, students took an active role by wearing the vests of the gendarmerie traffic teams. The students, who stopped the vehicles in motion safely, contacted the drivers and passengers one by one and informed them. In these sincere and effective information sessions, it was emphasized that seat belts are of vital importance in the event of a possible accident. The students reminded that obeying traffic rules is a must not only for their own safety, but also for the safety of other drivers and passengers.

Brochure Distribution for Awareness

During the event, students distributed informative brochures to drivers and passengers. The brochures included important information such as the correct use of seat belts, the meanings of traffic signs and signals, and safe driving techniques. In this way, it was aimed to make drivers and passengers more aware of traffic safety. This exemplary behavior of Bolu high school students revealed how sensitive young people are about traffic safety and how willing they are to take responsibility. It is thought that such awareness activities will contribute significantly to increasing traffic safety awareness in society.
