Following the consecutive earthquakes in the Simav district of Kütahya in the morning hours, another earthquake with a magnitude of 10.20 occurred at 4,6 a.m. This tremor caused uneasiness among the local people.
Education Suspended for a Day
Following the earthquakes, it was announced that education in the Simav district center, Pazarlar district and the villages affiliated to these regions would be suspended for one day as of Friday, April 25, 2025, upon the instructions of Kütahya Governor Musa Işın. This decision was taken for the safety of students and to prevent possible risks.
Statement from the Governor's Office: "There is No Negative Situation"
In the official statement made by the Kütahya Governorship, it was stated that "Due to the earthquakes that occurred in the Simav district of Kütahya and were felt in the surrounding settlements, education in the Simav district center, Pazarlar district and the villages affiliated to these regions has been suspended for one day as of Friday, April 25, 2025."
On the other hand, Kutahya Governor Musa Isin reported that no negative situation has been experienced so far due to the earthquakes in the city. Authorities are closely following the developments in the region.
