The final of the Rob-Okul Inter-High School Line Following Robot Competition, organized by Keçiören Municipality to encourage young people to science and technology, was held with great excitement at the Prof. Dr. Tunçalp Özgen Technology Center. The competition, which was held with the participation of a total of 15 teams from 23 different high schools from various districts of Ankara, witnessed a fierce competition.
Young Roboticists Showcase Their Talents
In the competition, which aims to contribute to the development of robotic technology and to direct young generations to productivity in the fields of science and technology, teams formed by high school students competed fiercely with the line-following robots they developed under the supervision of referees. The students worked hard to ensure that the robots they designed and programmed would follow the line on the track as quickly and accurately as possible.
The Teams That Rank Were Awarded
At the end of the challenging and exciting competitions, the winning teams were determined. Sincan Borsa İstanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School's HızlıBİST team came in first, Gölbaşı Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School's Robomogan team came in second, and Bağlum Şehit Kaan Usta Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School's Scout team came in third. The first-place team in the competition was awarded a high-end 3D printer, robot kit, and filament set, while the second and third-place teams were awarded a mid-level 3D printer, robot kit, and filament set.
Support for Future Scientists
Keçiören Deputy Mayor Emir Can Tunç presented the awards to the young roboticists who were successful in making it to the top three. Congratulating the contestants, Tunç emphasized that as Keçiören Municipality, they are always with the youth who are advancing on the path of science and expressed their pride in each and every student. Such events not only increase the interest of the youth in science and technology, but also contribute significantly to their development of skills such as problem solving, teamwork and creativity.
