Mayor Guler: 'Ordu is a Tourism Paradise'

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, attending the 49th Tourism Week events, emphasized that Ordu has reached an ambitious position with its recent tourism investments. Mayor Güler said, “Ordu is a tourism paradise,” and drew attention to the city's natural and cultural riches.

Procession and Enthusiastic Celebrations

The 49th Tourism Week, celebrated with various events throughout the country, began with an enthusiastic procession in Ordu. Ordu Governor Muammer Erol, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, protocol members and many citizens participated in the march that started in front of 19 Eylül Middle School. The march, which was accompanied by the music of the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality City Orchestra, ended at Ceren Özdemir Square. The events continued with folk dance shows organized in the square and souvenir photographs taken to commemorate the day.

Mayor Guler: “Experience Ordu in All Four Seasons”

President Güler, who attended the celebrations and made statements, stated that important investments were being implemented in order to develop tourism in Ordu. Güler, who stated that they set out with the slogans of “Ordu for 3 months, not 12 months” and “Experience Ordu in all four seasons”, said that they have carried out projects that will fulfill these slogans since the day they took office.

Emphasis on Ordu's Tourism Potential

Emphasizing that Ordu is a tourism paradise, President Güler said, “There is a very beautiful environment with its mountain sled, springs, waterfalls, natural beauties, sea, and cultural art. Ordu has now become a very important place as both a holiday and cultural destination. We are now also focusing on gastronomy. We will celebrate a very beautiful tourism week today.”
