Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) continues to diversify its support for local producers within the scope of rural development projects. In this context, ABB distributed olive saplings with a 50 percent farmer contribution to local producers in order to develop olive cultivation in Nallıhan district.
Value Added Product Support from ABB to Local Manufacturers
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which has signed the most comprehensive rural development supports in Türkiye, continues its efforts to strengthen domestic producers economically and grow high value-added products. Evaluating the potential of Nallıhan district, ABB took an important step to encourage olive cultivation in the region.
4 Thousand Olive Seedlings Distributed to Producers in Nallıhan
ABB teams delivered approximately 4 thousand olive saplings to producers in Çamalan District with the aim of spreading olive cultivation, which has high added value and income rate in Nallıhan district. This support aims to increase olive production in the region and increase the income levels of farmers.
President Güngör's Thanks to Mansur Yavaş
Nallıhan Mayor Ertunç Güngör, who attended the distribution ceremony, conveyed ABB President Mansur Yavaş’s greetings to the farmers and said, “Our President Mansur is a man of this land and knows this place very well. He does not withhold any support from this land. Hopefully, our villages will be revived even more with this support. We want to advance agriculture and animal husbandry in the best way possible. Our aim is to increase production in rural areas, provinces and our villages, to develop production and to provide income to our people who suffer from this place. I wish these olive saplings to be auspicious, lucky and fruitful.”
ABB Emphasizes Continuous Support and Collaboration
Rural Services Department Plant Production Branch Manager Niyazi Zobu stated that they will continue to support local producers and said, “In order to support olive cultivation in Nallıhan, which has high added value and income rate, we are distributing approximately 4 thousand olive saplings to our producers. In addition, we will act as a guide to our farmers and establish a closed olive garden together with Nallıhan Municipality in order to set an example. In this way, we will always be with our farmers in every way, technically, with knowledge and experience. In addition, if we can, we will establish a cold pressing unit together with Nallıhan Municipality and ensure that our farmers always obtain high added value products.”
This olive sapling support provided by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to producers from Nallıhan will make a significant contribution to agricultural development in the region. It is expected that such support, which aims to increase the income levels of producers and to grow high value-added products, will continue in the coming period.
